GPS Treasure Trail
An old fashioned Treasure Hunt, with a new twist! For a competitive team challenge, a GPS Treasure Trail cannot be topped. Each team race to complete the route through unfamiliar terrain, guided by computerised, Global Positioning System equipment. Through the urban jungle or wide-open countryside, the trail can be as wide-ranging and complex as desired.
Why choose GPS Treasure Trail?
A GPS Treasure Trail is a fun and exciting way to focus on the team dynamics of communication, planning and problem solving. GPS Treasure Trails demonstrate that a group goal can be achieved through teamwork while maximizing the element of fun.
Objectives
Focuses on communication and leadership through teamwork
Demonstrates how teamwork and problem solving can be fun and challenging
Competitive or relaxed - designed with the profile of your guests in mind
To promote closer working relationships between departments and inter-department co-operation
The Activity
Guests split into teams and are provided with GPS handsets; the programmed co-ordinates lead the teams to WayPoints. At each Waypoint teams answer a series of questions or complete challenges in order to gain points. The more WayPoints they visit, the more points they can win. Each team arrives at the WayPoints in a different order.
Challenges can include a quiz based on general knowledge or specifically about your company/industry and a variety of cerebral and physical team activities.
Whilst on route teams get 'snap happy' on a Photo Mission. Armed with a Polaroid camera, each team will have a list of objects/people/scenes to photograph, ranging from tractors to juggling policemen!
A Scavenger Hunt tests the teams' ability to be resourceful as they have to gather specified items along the way, anything from a helium balloon and travel brochure to oak leaves and a duck feather.
At the end of the 'Trail' there is a prize-giving where all are rewarded for their efforts. This can be themed to your company or a chosen communication message.
