This event will take you back to a time when King Henry VIII held court, a knight's fate was decided by his skill with a lance, court jesters entertained and peasants were punished in the stocks. This is your chance to live the dream - to capture the heart of your favourite knight, or save a damsel in distress.

The Activity
Upon arrival at the venue guests enter 'The Great Hall' for predinner ale, mulled wine and mead. The room will be themed with shields and crossed swords adorning the walls and dramatic backdrops depicting images of castle life. Strolling minstrels and court jesters greet and entertain.
Guests take their seats for dinner and King Henry VIII explains the Rules of Court. Dinner is served by buxom wenches, the courses interspersed with entertainment from the minstrels and jesters and ceremonies such as:
The Salt Ceremony - ladies receive a bowl of salt in return for a kiss.
Garter Ceremony - the King knights one of the eager male guests who must try to find the garter hidden on one of the wenches legs.
Fighting Knights - cheer on Red Knight while he battles to overcome evil Black Knight and win the fair maiden's hand.
Dinner is rounded off with ye olde sing song and the Kings Farewell.
